The Sentry digital controller interfaces manual and automatic lighting controls with dimmable electronic fluorescent and compact fluorescent ballasts. The system provides optimal lighting control flexibility while reducing lighting energy consumption. Sentry uses the lowest control input level received from the manual and automatic controllers to set the lighting levels. The manual controls provide direct control of the lights while the automatic controls reduce lighting costs through efficient use of the lighting. The automatic controls reduce cost with motion sensors to turn off lights in empty rooms, photocells for daylight harvesting in sunlit perimeter areas, and time clocks for time-of-day control. | |||||||||||
