Lehigh Introduces the E-Flex Room Controller at Lightfair 2019

The EFRC 123 series room controllers include one, two, or three zero-cross controlled relays to switch a total of 20 amps (16A EB), with one 0-10V output per relay for control of dimmable loads such as LEDs or ballasts. The EFRC123 accepts one occupancy, daylight, and contact closure input, as well as input for E-Flex CapTTM wall stations. The UL924 option includes a dedicated emergency load relay which maintains the emergency feed on power loss as well as opening the 0-10V control outputs so ballasts go to full brightness. Up to 100 devices can be networked on FlexNet with central control via an E-Flex Gateway over Ethernet.

It is an ideal solution for standalone applications classrooms, conference rooms, offices, or to simply light public spaces such as stairwells, hallways, or lobbies. Built-in support for occupancy and daylight sensors provides a complete energy management solution. Receptacle zone type is provided to meet automatic receptacle control requirements. The contact closure input can provide demand response support. Demand Response includes load shed adjustment on a zone-by-zone basis for maximum flexibility to meet energy codes and reduce power consumption.

The EFRC 123 provides RJ45 inputs for Lehighs CapTTM wallstations which provide a capacitive touch button interface with wake-on proximity sensing for low-power operation. CapT wall stations include button layouts with up to 7-buttons from simple ON/OFF to a 4-preset recall with OFF, and raise/lower control. Custom stations are available.

The EFRC 123 provides support for both primary and secondary daylight zones controlled from a single photocell. Secondary daylight zones can be adjusted on a zone-by-zone basis using the DASC (daylight scaler) which scales the effect of the daylight sensor on a zone from 100% down to 0.

Typical control configuration can be setup using on-board switches or for more advanced control using the E-Flex FlexTool Configurator software via a USB port or over FlexNet via an E-Flex gateway. Software configuration provides access to enhanced features such as ButtonX commands to configure CapT station button actions.

A FlexNet astronomical timeclock is also available with 50 events for E-Flex panels or room controllers to control individual zones or to broadcast an event to all devices on the FlexNet network.
